Regular seeds come from one male and one female parent and can produce either male or female plants. It is virtually impossible to tell if a regular seed will turn out to be a male or female later on. Once at flowering stage it is much easier to make this identification, males produce oval pods whilst females produce calyx shaped pods like a teardrop. On average over 66% of regular seeds become female.
Feminised Cannabis Seeds
Feminised seeds are bred specifically to eliminate male chromosomes, effectively ensuring that every plant in the crop is going to be female enabling fast and simple cultivation. However any cannabis plant can produce flowers of either sex depending on conditions, cannabis is not strictly male or female, so some can produce flowers of both sexes simultaneously, which is usually due to stress response.
Autoflowering Cannabis Seeds
Autoflowering cannabis seeds are generally small plant produces ideal for outdoor growth as they are not as susceptible to natural growth patterns driven by environment or seasonal change.
Indica & Sativa
Cannabis seeds fit into two categories, Indica & Sativa, the crossing of strains of these types effect the outcome of the plant based on the breeders desire, from yield to potency. Indicas tend to be shorter, stockier plants with smaller, denser and strong odour buds as well as flowering earlier than Sativas. Sativas grow much bigger and the buds tend to be much less compact.
